Answers to the most common questions about Superplural Analytics
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the pixel slow down my website?
No. The script loads asynchronously (defer) and does not block page loading. The lightweight pixel is under 1 KB compressed.
Why are some visits not showing up?
- JavaScript is disabled in the visitor's browser
- Aggressive ad blockers blocking the script
- The visitor's IP is on the website exclusion list
- The visitor is an identified bot (auto-excluded if enabled)
Is the tracking GDPR compliant?
Lightweight tracking is compliant by default — no cookies, no personally identifiable data. Advanced tracking uses localStorage and requires mention in your privacy policy. Data stays on our servers and is never shared with third parties.
How do I exclude my own IP from statistics?
In the website settings, there is an Excluded IPs field. Add your IP and save — your visits will no longer be counted.
How do I give users an opt-out option?
Add ?pixel_optout=true to your website URL. This sets a localStorage variable that permanently disables the pixel in that browser.
Is the data shown in real time?
Yes. The dashboard shows active visitors in the last 5 minutes in real time. Historical statistics are updated continuously as new visits arrive.
